This Shadow Birkin is crafted from Mushroom Swift leather with tonal stitching and embossed details. It features an open top and double rolled handles, offering a sophisticated and unique design.

Interior Details

The interior is lined with Mushroom Chevre leather and includes one zip pocket with an Hermès-engraved zipper pull and an open pocket on the opposite side for added convenience.

Design and Inspiration

The Shadow Birkin was first introduced in 2009 when Jean Paul Gaultier was Hermès’ creative director. The design aims to create a trompe l’oeil (optical illusion), making it seem as though the straps may not be real. The illusion is particularly striking when viewed from a perpendicular angle, adding an unsettling and captivating visual effect.
